How often do I need to perform pressure testing for my fire extinguisher?

Q. How often do I need to perform testing, pressure testing, hydrostatic testing for my fire extinguisher? 

A. For testing a fire extinguisher, you will need to send your extinguisher to an TUV authorised fire extinguisher maintenance workshop. 


- 10 Years Interval for Carbon Dioxide and Clean Agent type fire extinguishers. 

- 5 Years Interval for every other type of fire extinguisher.  


After pressure testing, refilling of the fire extinguisher with new extinguishing agents are required.
